Grace also participated in a study with Duke University and DPP entitled “Integrating Spirituality into Patient Care” that engaged physicians to determine whether a spiritual history influenced the care they delivered. Though it wasn’t published, research showed the benefit of spirituality and health.
We also participated as a subrecipient with UCF in a clinical trial related to asthma. This was funded by the American Academy of Family Physicians and helped develop protocols for patient education and self-management of asthma. The findings were not published, but Grace was part of the trial.
